This past week an Arrest Warrant Initiative was conducted by the Cumberland Police Department’s Safe Streets Program. The Operation Safe Streets Warrant Initiative began Monday, January 12, and concluded Friday, January 16, 2015.
Our goal continues to be making our streets safer through the reduction of backlogged arrest warrants. The Safe Streets Operation sought citizen help in locating and apprehending individuals on open arrest warrants.
This initiative resulted in the arrest of Thirty-seven (37) individuals on active arrest warrants, with a total of Forty-four (44) arrest warrants being served.
This was another successful operation conducted with Officers from the Cumberland City Police Department and Deputies from the Allegany County Sheriff’s Department, together with the warrant fugitive officers, who combined their resources to reduce the number of active arrest warrants in Allegany County.

The Safe Streets Program is conducting a new Warrant Initiative to begin Monday, January 6 and concluding Friday, January 10, 2014.
The Cumberland Police Department’s Safe Streets Program is requesting citizens, and residents of surrounding communities, to assist in the apprehension of numerous individuals wanted for various criminal activities.
The Safe Streets Operation is seeking your help in locating the following sixteen (16) individuals on open arrest warrants.
