The Board of Public Works recently approved funding for several Western Maryland projects, including a request from The Department Of Housing And Community Development for approval of a $2.8 million dollar loan to JFK Apartments to assist in the rehabilitation of the 100-unit rental community on North Mechanic Street. The project will offer a mix of affordable studio and one-bedroom floorplans targeting low-income households earning between 30 and 60 percent of the area median income.
