Judge Twigg Honored for Record of Service

The Office of the State's Attorney for Allegany County, Maryland, James F. Elliott, State's Attorney announced: 

On Wednesday, April 7, 2021, the Combined County Criminal Investigation (C3I) Advisory Board, and the agency heads of local law enforcement, recognized the Honorable Micahel O. Twigg, Judge of the Circuit Court, for Allegany County, Maryland, with a plaque commemorating his more than twenty (20) years of service to C3I, members of local law enforcement, and the citizens of Allegany County, Maryland.

Judge Twigg began his tenure with the State's Attorney's Office, and his involvement with C#I, as an intern with the State's Attorney's Office.  After law school he returned to Allegany County as an Assistant State's Attorney, rising to the ranks of Deputy, and eventually as the State's Attorney for Allegany County, Maryland.  During this period of time his Honor saw many changes to the law, and in the enforcement of those laws.  As these changes led to new and interesting challenges; Judge Twigg's tireless dedication and commitment to Allegany County led the way, facing these challenges head on aggressively pursuing those committing illicit acts within our community.  His efforts helped secure C3I's place as one of the premier investigative law enforcement units in the State of Maryland, and hence, making Allegany County, Maryland a safer place to live.

 

This plaque was presented to the Honorable Michael O. Twigg, Judge of the Circuit Court for Allegany County, Maryland on behalf of all those who have had the honor of working with him through the years at C3I.
