A unique retirement was celebrated recently with the City of Cumberland. At the recent Mayor and City Council meeting, the retirement of Lieutenant Gina Kyle was recognized. Kyle was the first female firefighter with the Cumberland Fire Department, starting in December of 1998. Fire Chief Shannon Adams said that Kyle is from a long-line of firefighters including her grandparents, uncle, and father. Kyle held positions as EMS and Fire Instructor as well as being a Paramedic.
