With the closing of the Maryland General Assembly, four bills passed through this session for the health of Maryland. Vincent DeMarco from Maryland Health Care for All told WCBC one of the bills in particular kept Maryland’s Medicaid program from being touched…
“Despite substantial threats from Washington, Maryland did not cut our Medicaid program, and that is so important because there are about a million Marylanders who benefit—or more—from Medicaid coverage including many in Cumberland who would be really hurt if the Medicaid program was cut. Thankfully, the Maryland Generally Assembly balanced the budget in a way that did not substantially cut Medicaid.”
