UPMC facilities had required masks at all facilities again in December of 2023, but that mandate has now been lifted. The Centers For Disease Control and Prevention, pointing to improvements in hospitalization and death rates from COVID-19 are also backing off guidelines including no need to isolate for five days after getting a COVID diagnosis. High-risk individuals should still access available treatments if positive.
