Master Deputy Jenna Wilt-Harvey received the 2025 Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services award for Police Instructor of the year.  Employed by the Garrett County Sheriff’s office, Master Deputy Wilt-Harvey has developed and implemented a continual and evolving defensive tactics program for use on patrol or working inside the detention center.  The program is used by Garrett County deputies and correctional officers.
