The Mayor and City Council of Cumberland will meet in public session beginning at 2:30 p.m. in the second floor conference room of City Hall on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, for the purpose of immediately closing the meeting to consult with counsel to obtain legal advice about the pending opioid litigation in joint session with the City of Frostburg. Authority to close the session is provided by 3-305(b)(7) and (8) of the General Provisions Article of the Annotated Code of Maryland.
The Mayor and City Council of Cumberland will meet in public session beginning at 4:45 p.m. in the second floor conference room of City Hall on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, for the purpose of immediately closing the meeting to discuss matters that relate to the compensation of the Mayor and City Council of Cumberland and to receive legal advice regarding an indemnification contract. Authority to close the session is provided by Section 3-305(b)(1) and 3-305(b)(7) of the General Provisions Article of the Annotated Code of Maryland.
The open work session will begin at 5:15 PM and the Mayor and City Council's regularly scheduled Public Meeting will be held at 6:15 PM in the City Hall Council Chambers.
