On 4/6/23 at approximately 0914 hours Troopers from the McHenry Barrack conducted a traffic stop on a Ford passenger vehicle in Grantsville. The vehicle was stopped due to the driver and front seat passenger not wearing their seatbelts. During the course of the traffic stop a K-9 scan was conducted on the vehicle which resulted in a positive alert.
A subsequent search by Troopers lead to the discovery of various amounts of heroin and CDS paraphernalia in the vehicle. As a result the driver, Amanda Loraine Ruble of Mt. Storm, WV was charged with possession of CDS not marijuana and possession of CDS paraphernalia. Ruble was also issued a traffic citation for not wearing a seatbelt. The passenger, Justin Roger Paugh of Elk Garden, WV was charged with possession of CDS not marijuana and possession of CDS paraphernalia. Paugh was also issued a traffic citation for not wearing a seatbelt.
Ruble and Paugh were released pending their court appearance.
