Marylanders are urged to consider whether they may be eligible to receive a homeowners’ or renters’ property tax credit. Nearly 140,000 postcards are being mailed to low-income homeowners who may be eligible to receive a credit. The Homeowners' Property Tax Credit Program provides relief for eligible homeowners by setting a limit on the amount of property taxes owed based on their income. Customers can apply for the 2023 Tax Credit online. The deadline to file is October 1.
