The Greenway Avenue Stadium Capital Improvement Fund is planning a Mini-Marathon and 1-Mile walk for Saturday April 22 at Greenway. Money generated from the event will go to upgrades including lighting, sound system and press box improvements. George Brown, Race Director for the event, describes what the stadium has been able to offer with some of the updates and future plans.
Participants can choose to do the 2.62 mile mini-marathon or one mile walk/run. Also this year will be the Toddler Trot for ages 1-3 and Youngster Run for youth 4-6. Fred Cook noted that winners will receive wooden plaques made by the Career Center.
