Morriss Says Gulf War Memorial Vandalism Video Likely Will Lead to Criminal Charges

The Gulf War Memorial in Cumberland has recently been subject to a couple of incidents of vandalism, actions that have many in the community outraged.  Videos of damage being done to standing black granite open books with the names of fallen soldiers recently surfaced on social media.  Over 5,200 names have been etched in the granite pages on the monument located along Queen City Pavement. Cumberland Mayor Ray Morriss, appearing on WCBC’s ‘Dave Norman Show” said that a juvenile and an adult were involved in separate incidents that are being investigated by law enforcement.
