January 29th, 2024 by WCBC Radio

A multi-state drug operation has been broken up, according to a release from the US Attorney General’s office.  Over 80 people were indicted by a federal grand jury for drug trafficking in Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia.  Gary Bernard Brown, Jr., also known as “Gee,” of Baltimore, supplied others with large quantities of fentanyl capsules and powder for redistribution in Berkeley and Jefferson Counties. The investigation yielded 22 pounds of fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine, firearms, and hundreds of thousands of dollars in assets. Eleven of the indicted individuals are still at large. Those indicted were from Harpers Ferry, Charlestown, Martinsburg, Winchester, and Ranson.
