With the retirement of U.S. Senator Ben Cardin, his local field representative Robin Summerfield has been appointed to the same position, now representing Senator Chris Van Hollen. Covering the state’s five western counties, Summerfield has now been assisting the leaders since 2007.  With the transition, Summerfield talked to WCBC about memorable accomplishments with Senator Cardin including the Big Slackwater Restoration and Catoctin Aqueduct Replacement on the C&O Canal.
