New City Council Members Sworn In

In ceremonies held in the rotunda of Cumberland’s City Hall- David Caporale and Eugene Frazier were officially sworn in to four years terms as members of the city council. Frazier is a newcomer to politics, while Caporale was elected to a second term. County Clerk Dawn Lindsey administered the oath of office and Delegate Jason Buckel served as Master of Ceremonies. Caporale said his goal is to see the momentum that has begun during the last four years to continue…

Monday afternoon was Inauguration Day in Cumberland with David Caporale and Nicole Wagoner being officially sworn in as the newest members of the City Council. Each begins a four year term representing the city- being elected to replace council members Harold “Butch” Hendershot and Mary Beth Piorlozzi who opted not to seek new terms. Speaking before a large crowd of friends, family, supporters and elected officials in the city hall rotunda, Nicole pledged to work in the future toward restoring Cumberland’s past successes….
