The post-position draw for the 147th Preakness Stakes were announced on Monday.
Post positions and morning lines:
1. Simplification (6-1)
2. Creative Minister (10-1)
3. Fenwick (50-1)
4. Secret Oath (9-2)
5. Early Voting (7-2)
6. Happy Jack (30-1)
7. Armagnac (12-1)
8. Epicenter (6-5)
9. Skippylongstocking (20-1)
Kentucky Derby runner-up Epicenter was set as the 6-5 morning line favorite.
There will not be a Triple Crown champion this year as Derby winner Rich Strike will not compete at Preakness. The owner felt the two-week turnaround did not give the horse enough time to rest. Rich Strike is expected to compete in the Belmont.
The race will take place Saturday, May 21, at the Pimlico Race Course.
