One of the smaller projects recently approved for Open Space funding is a request from the Department of Natural Resources to purchase and install exercise pods around the walking track at the Cresaptown Sports Complex. The funding will also provide for resurfacing of six parking lots at the site. Senator Mike McKay said that areas such as the sports complex are increasing in use and need to be better equipped for the public to utilize. Funding was also provided for new fencing and a walking track, pavilion, and new playground equipment at the Piney Plains Community Park.
