Lonaconing Man Charged in Walmart Assault

On 04.10.2021 at approximately 4:00 PM Deputies of The Allegany County Sheriff's Office as well as Troopers of The Maryland State Police responded to the parking lot at the LaVale Walmart for a reported assault in progress.  Several callers reported a male assaulting a person in a vehicle and tackling them in the parking lot. Two Injured When Car Hits Pole on Henderson Avenue

On Saturday, April 10th, 2021 the Cumberland Police Department and the Cumberland Fire Department responded to Henderson Avenue in the area of Polk Street for a vehicle accident with reported injuries. When units arrived, it was learned that a single vehicle had impacted a telephone pole. The Cumberland Fire Department transported two patients to UPMC for non-life-threatening injuries. The cause of the accident is still under investigation and charges are pending.

Cumberland Police Make CDS & Trespassing Arrests

On Saturday, April 10th, 2021 Millicent Marie Dockery, age; 56 of Baltimore, Maryland was issued a citation for possession of marihuana under 10 grams. He was cited after an officer stopped a vehicle that Dockery was a passenger in on E. Industrial Blvd for a traffic violation and he told the officer that he was in possession of the marihuana. Cumberland Man Charged With Violating Protective Order

On Friday, April 9th, 2021 the Cumberland Police Department served an arrest warrant on John Adam Snyder charging him with violating a protective order, trespassing, burglary, malicious destruction of property, and disturbing the peace. The warrant was issued by District Court in reference to an incident that took place back on March 11th, 2021 when officers responded to a Columbia Street residence for the report that Snyder had broken into the complainant’s residence and destroyed property.
