Drug Transaction Leads to Pedestrian Injuries
On October 28, 2020 at approximately 5:17 P.M., Trooper’s from the Maryland State Police McHenry Barrack responded to 145 Bumble Bee Road for a reported hit and run motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian. Upon arrival Trooper’s observed a male identified as Henry Sines, 28, of McHenry, Maryland suffering from serious injuries sustained from the collision. Aid was rendered to Sines by paramedics and Sines was transported by ambulance to Ruby Memorial Hospital for treatment of his injuries. Francho Selects New Chief of Staff
Maryland Comptroller Peter Franchot has named one of his top aides as his new chief of staff. Emmanuel Welsh, who previously was Franchot's deputy chief of staff, has been serving as acting chief of staff since early October, following the abrupt departure of Len Foxwell. Welsh, a 2013 Towson University graduate, joined Franchot's office as a public affairs officer in 2015 and became deputy chief of staff the following year. His promotion becomes effective on Monday.

Hagerstown Man Charged with Stealing Vehicle in Cumberland
On Wednesday, October 28th, 2020 the Cumberland Police Department responded to that area Ford Avenue for the report of a motor vehicle theft. When the officer arrived, contact was made with the victim who reported that his 2020 Ford F150 had just been stolen. A search is ongoing for a missing West Virginia man after his vehicle is located in Garrett County. The missing individual is identified as Hassan “AJ” Aino, 22, of Morgantown, West Virginia.
