Fort Hill Graduate Nails Game Winning Field Goal
Fort Hill High School graduate Danny King drilled the game winning field goal Saturday as Southern Utah upset the University of Texas at El Paso, 27-24. King also converted a 38 yard field goal in the contest. Southern Utah is coached by DeLane Fitzgerald, former head coach at Frostburg State.

On Saturday, September 7th, 2024, The Cumberland City Police arrested Antonio Fagan Jr, 36, of Cumberland MD. Fagan was arrested on an outstanding Bench Warrant issued by the Allegany County District Court on July 29th, 2024. The warrant alleged Fagan failed to appear in court on that date for previous charges of theft and issuing forged currency. Fagan was taken before a District Court Commissioner for an Initial Appearance where he was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center. He is currently being held without bond. Bench Warrant Arrest
On Friday, September 6th, 2024, The Cumberland City Police responded to the 400 block of Virginia Ave for the report of a suspicious female subject. Upon arrival, the female was identified as Victoria Ruth King, 26, Dundalk MD. It was discovered that King had an active Bench Warrant issued for her out of Pinellas County, FL. The warrant alleged that King failed to appear for trial in Florida on charges of trafficking fentanyl and grand theft. As a result, King was placed under arrest for being a fugitive of justice.
