On Tuesday, January 9th, 2024, the Cumberland City Police responded to a business in the 400 block of Park St for the report of a theft. Upon arrival, officers learned that a male subject had entered the store and removed items without attempting to pay them. Officers obtained a description of the male and searched the nearby area. Officers were able to locate a male matching the suspect description and found him to be in possession of the stolen items. As a result, Drezdin Jose Delgado, 22, of Cumberland MD, was placed under arrest. At the time of his arrest, Delgado was also found to be in possession of multiple CDS paraphernalia items. Delgado was issued criminal citations for the offenses and released, pending trial in District Court.
