The Pittsburgh Pirates announced Monday that they have extended the contract of manager Don Kelly into next year.  Kelly managed the Pirates after the firing of Derek Shelton early in the season.  The team went 59-65 under Kelly, posting a winning record at PNC Park.  The team also plans to retain general manager Ben Cherington.
