On Thursday morning, Robert Earl Howe, 41 of Hyndman, PA was traveling north on Ellerslie Road, Corriganville, MD when for reasons currently unknown he traveled across the centerline. Howe then struck a southbound truck operated by Willard Alvin Lamp, 67 of Ellerslie, MD. As a result of the collision, Howe was pronounced deceased on the scene. Lamp and a male passenger were transported to UPMC Western Maryland for non-life-threatening injuries.
This collision remains under investigation by the Sheriff's office, and Cumberland police crash team. Any witnesses are asked to contact the Sheriff's office or Cumberland Police at 301-777-5959 or 301-777-1600.
