On Monday, August 4th, 2014, Cumberland City Police served bench warrant on Charles William Michael III for failing to appear in the District Court of Maryland on June 5th, 2014 for the charge of possession of marihuana. Michael was taken in front of the District Court Commission for a bail review and released pending trail in the Allegany County District Court.

On Monday, August 4th, 2014, Cumberland City Police served a bench warrant on Joseph Lee Wolfe for violation of probation for the original charge of assault, 2nd degree. Wolfe was then taken before the District Court Commissioner for a bail review and was released on his own personal recognizance pending trail in the Allegany County District Court.

Trespassing
On 07/31/14 Officers with the Cumberland Police Department were conducting a neighborhood check in the area of Jane Frazier Village located on E Second St when they observed a subject whom they knew to have been barred from being on Housing property on the property. Officers contacted the subject who was identified as Christopher Platter, 29 years of age of Cumberland. Platter was placed under arrest and transported to the Cumberland Police Dept where he was issued a criminal citation charging him with one count of trespassing and released pending trial in District Court.
