On November 3rd at 12:10 am, an officer on patrol observed a vehicle in the 200 block of South Central commit a traffic violation. The officer then conducted a traffic stop and contacted the occupants. During the stop a Cumberland Police K-9 was utilized for an exterior free air sniff of the vehicle. Subsequently, the K-9 gave a positive alert to the odor of CDS. As a result of the positive alert, a probable cause search was conducted and CDS and CDS paraphernalia were located. Due to locating the CDS and paraphernalia, Lennon Squires, age 20 of Cumberland was placed under arrest. Squires was charged with Possession of CDS not marijuana and two counts of possession CDS paraphernalia. Squires was later taken to District Court for his Initial Appearance and released on his own recognizance pending trial.

On Saturday,at 2:00 AM, an officer from the Cumberland Police Department conducted a traffic stop on Queen City Drive for a minor traffic violation. The operator was identified as Christopher Cage. Investigation into the stop revealed that Cage was in possession of a controlled dangerous substance, Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone Bitartrate. Cage did not have any documentation that he had a prescription for the medication. Police also suspected that Cage was driving under the influence of alcohol. Cage was arrested and transported to police headquarters. Cage is currently awaiting his initial appearance before the District Court of Allegany County.
