BENCH WARRANTS SERVED
On Saturday, May 24, 2025, the Cumberland Police Department served two bench warrants on Nicholas Craig. One warrant was issued as the result of Craig failing to appear in court on an original charge of Burglary-4th Degree-Dwelling. The other warrant was issued due to Craig violating probation on an original charge of Malicious Destruction of Property $1,000+. Craig was arrested and later seen by a District Court Commissioner for a bond hearing. At the conclusion, he was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center on two $500 bonds.

CRIMINAL SUMMONS SERVED
On Saturday, May 24, 2025, the Cumberland Police Department served a criminal summons on John Layton Jr. The summons was issued as the result of a private citizen filing for charges against Layton at the District Court of Allegany County. Layton signed for his copy of the summons and he was released pending trial.

ARREST WARRANT SERVED
On Saturday, May 24, 2025, the Cumberland Police Department served a bench warrant on Abree Braithwaite. The warrant was issued as the result of Braithwaite failing to appear in court on an original charge of Trespassing: Posted Property. She was arrested and found to be in possession of CDS paraphernalia. She was issued a criminal citation for the drug violation and later seen by a District Court Commissioner for a bond hearing. At the conclusion, Braithwaite was released on her personal recognizance.
