Prices at the pump holding steady

Following a busy holiday long weekend that saw nearly 1.15 million drivers traveling on roadways in Maryland, gas prices locally and nationally saw minimal fluctuation. Maryland’s statewide Thanksgiving gas price average was four cents higher than last year’s average, but saw a slight drop this week. 

The gas price average in Maryland today is $2.46, which is down two cents in the last week, and four cents from last month, but is up 12 cents from this date last year.

 Today’s national gas price average is $2.58, unchanged in the last week, down four cents in the last month and up 14 cents from this time last year.

    Price at Sheetz and pilot in Hagerstown Md was $ 2.39 gal on thursday.prices in there graph are not reflecting true prices. 39 cent differs per gal.

Drivers saw little change in price this week at the gas pump. Today’s national gas price average is $2.87, which is unchanged in the last week, up a penny in the last month, and 51 cents higher than this time last year. Maryland’s average is four cents lower than the national average at $2.83 per gallon, which is unchanged from last week, one cent higher than last month, and 49 cents more than last year on this date. The average gallon price for most regions across the state held steady from a week ago. After price increases the last two weeks, Hagerstown’s average finally dropped this week by a penny while Cumberland is holding steady at $2.91.
