Problem lies with Maryland judges who seem to have a revolving door policy for young violent offenders

The 17 year-old who seriously injured three Cumberland City police officers during an incident last week already had a rap sheet that included two prior arrests. Although expected to be tried as an adult, the suspect’s name has not been released, due to his status as a juvenile. Judicial records show that he was arrested for felony assault involving a fire arm in 2020; and this past October was charged with felony assault involving a knife.  Governor Larry Hogan says unfortunately the problem lies with Maryland judges who seem to have a revolving door policy for young violent offenders…
