Every ten years, the State of Maryland asks cities to review and update the comprehensive plan for their communities. The plan helps guide public policy in a number of areas including housing, infrastructure, and public services. July 28th at 6pm, Cumberland will hold a public review meeting at City Hall. Ruth Davis-Rogers, city historic planner, said much needs updated since the last plan was adopted…
“But what we were seeing on the last report is that things were rather fairly stagnant. There wasn’t a lot growth, and our population was declining. Whereas now we’re seeing that our population is stabilizing, possibly growing a little bit. We know our tax base is growing.”
