On Saturday, May 10, 2025, Officers of the Cumberland Police Department were on patrol in the area of Queen City Drive when they observed a vehicle with a suspended registration. A traffic stop was initiated, and upon making contact with the operators, the Officer requested a K9 to the scene. The K9 scan resulted in a positive alert on the vehicle. The vehicle and occupants were searched, and as a result, a controlled dangerous substance and paraphernalia were located. The operator, Cheryl Livengood, and the passenger, Joshua Reikie, were placed under arrest. Livengood was issued a citation for CDS paraphernalia and traffic citations for driving with a suspended registration and driving without insurance. Reikie was issued criminal citations for CDS possession and CDS Paraphernalia possession. Both Livengood and Reikie were released pending their trials at the Allegany District Court.
