The caller said she had called the county tax office and was given a reason for the delay…

WCBC News reached out to the county tax office and spoke with William Lashbaugh, Tax and Utility Supervisor who explained the delay in the bills being mailed out to property owners…

Lashbaugh also said that there would not be an additional grace period to pay the taxes because of the delay. The annotated code of Maryland states that for all counties, the interest for property taxes doesn’t begin to accrue until October 1st …
