The multi million dollar, multi phase renovation of Greenway Avenue Stadium is now complete- restoring its status of one of the premier high school sports venues in the state. Among the upgrades: new visitors side bleachers; a new running track; along with improvements to the public walkways and to the storm water system. The project, including fundraising, got started in 2010. During the renovation period the stadium served as a COVID vaccination clinic in May of 2021 with Governor Larry Hogan taking a walking tour and saying that he looked forward to visiting the stadium under more normal circumstances, hinting of a visit during a future homecoming game.
