Republican Party fielding an increasing number of candidates for West Virginia Governor’s seat

The Republican Party is fielding an increasing number of candidates to run for the West Virginia Governor’s seat. Current Governor Jim Justice has served two terms and is not eligible to run again. The candidates now include Attorney General Patrick Morrissey who announced his candidacy Tuesday, Secretary of State Mac Warner, and Senator Shelly Moore Capito’s grandson Delegate Moore Capito. So far, Democrats have not announced a candidate for the office.
