Delegate Gary Howell of Mineral County recently presented a local economic development assistsance grant check for $10,000 to the Ridgeley Volunteer Fire Department. The money will be used to purchase a trailer to carry equipment needed for brush and wildland incidents. Chief Steve Shipley said the unit will be available to not only Mineral County, but also Hampshire, Grant, Morgan, Allegany and Garrett counties, as well as any other location in the state of West Virginia that would need it.
