On Sunday, March 24th, 2024, the Cumberland City Police arrested Christopher Scott Moss, 48, of Cumberland MD. Moss was arrested on an active Arrest Warrant issued by the Allegany County District Court for an incident that occurred on March 17th. During that incident, it is alleged that Moss made several phone calls to a local church of a threatening nature. During the calls, Moss threatened to damage the church and made threats of arson. Moss was taken before a District Court Commissioner for his Initial Appearance where he was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center. He is currently being held without bond.

On Sunday, March 24th, 2024, the Cumberland City Police arrested Krystal Ann Canfield, 36, of Cumberland MD. Canfield was arrested on an active Bench Warrant issued by the Frederick County District Court on August 23rd, 2023. The warrant alleges Canfield violated the terms and conditions of her probation that had been placed upon her due to previous conviction on CDS possession charges. Canfield was taken before a District Court Commissioner for her Initial Appearance where she was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center. She is currently being held without bond.
