Freshman Jasmine Scott had herself quite the meet, winning the 400 meters in 57.12 to place herself fifth in program history, then went on to anchor the 4×400-meter relay team, also comprised of sophomores Aissatou Diallo and Gabrielle Heard and freshman Malaika Habib, who won the event in 4:12.32.
Heard would go on to place fourth in the 200 meters (25.87), just ahead of freshman Valerie Boards (25.89) in fifth. In the field events, junior Omokemi Balogun placed third in the long jump at 5.35m, while freshman Eva Morrison came in fifth at the pole vault, earning a height of 3.34m.
The women now prepare for the MEC Championships, which will be hosted at Bobcat Stadium from Sunday, April 30 through Tuesday, May 2. Information and updates will be posted to frostburgsports.com.
