Snow removal and cleanup efforts continue into the evening hours. During the height of the storm 343 snow plows were dispatched by the Maryland Department of Transportation across the state of Maryland. In Allegany County 26 snow plows were active clearing roads. Maryland State Police responding to a number of disabled vehicles and tractor trailers caught in the storm. Several car drivers unprepared for the wintry mix stranded along roadsides out of fuel.
