The Cumberland Police are currently investigating a motor vehicle crash on Industrial Blvd and Virginia Ave. A vehicle struck a utility pole, causing a large power outage in the South End of Cumberland.
As a result of the crash, Virginia Ave is closed at the Underpass. Industrial Blvd Eastbound is also closed from Springdale St. Motorists are encouraged to remain off the roads due to the hazardous conditions. If you must travel, please avoid this area and find an alternative route.
Over 1500 customers are without service with hopes that electric will be back by midnight.
