Three Bench Arrest Warrant(s) Served on City Resident

On January 7th, Officers from the Cumberland Police Department (CPD) observed Sterling Marie Wilson in the area of Queen City Drive and Harrison Street. It was learned that She had three Bench Warrants. Sterling was served one of three Bench Warrants. The warrant stems from an incident to where Sterling committed a theft at a local business. She was served the second of three Bench Warrants. The warrant stems from an incident to where Sterling committed another theft at the same local business. She was served the third of three Bench Warrants. The warrant stems from an incident to where Sterling made false statements to Emergency Dispatch, Law Enforcement Officers and used Emergency transport in order to get a ride in an attempt to see a friend in a secured location at a local health facility.
Sterling Marie Wilson was taken to Allegany County Detention Center to await her hearing.

Charges:

  1. Bench Warrant on original charge of theft less than $100.
  2. Bench Warrant on original charge of theft less than $100.
  3. Bench Warrant on original charge making False Alarm/Ambulance Cause, False Statement to Officer and Obstructing and Hindering

Cumberland Police Department observed Sterling Marie Wilson in the area of Queen City Drive and Harrison Street crossing the railroad tracks where prohibited. Sterling was issued one Criminal Citation and released from that arrest. She was then arrested on three Bench Warrants.
