As you travel through downtown Cumberland especially over by City Hall be sure to check out Giarritta park. UPMC Western Maryland donated two lights that at one time graced the entrance of Allegany Hospital on Decatur Street.
Let's Beautify Cumberland on Friday along with City street department workers Jason and Brandon moved the historic lights to the park on North Center Street. Giarritta park was named after Dr Nick Giarritta who began his career in Cumberland at the Allegany hospital. Ed Mullaney from Let's Beautify Cumberland
