On October 11th, 2022, The Cumberland City Police responded to 300 block of Frederick St for the report of a disturbance. Upon arrival on scene, officers located two subjects involved in a verbal altercation in view of the public. The two subjects were identified as Javas Chayton Bohrer, 21, and Kerri Anne Bohrer, 49, both of Cumberland, Maryland. At that time both subjects were advised to cease any further disturbances and leave the area.
Approximately one hour later, Officers were on patrol in the same area of Frederick St when they observed both individuals engaging in a public physical altercation. Officers were able to quickly
separate the two subjects prior to any physical injuries occurring. It was learned that both subjects had gotten into a verbal altercation over a phone charger and EBT card, which had turned physical.
As a result, both subjects were placed under arrest and taken to Police Headquarters for processing. They were each taken before the District Court Commissioner for an Initial Appearance. Each were released on their own $2,500 unsecured bond.
