The Westernport Library has been closed to the public since flooding caused severe damage to the building in May. Recently, the library’s marketing director, Ashley Swinford, spoke with WCBC about the ongoing restoration work that has been taking place, moving the library closer to being in service again for the community…

   

“We’re hoping for a late 2025 reopening, but some changes that we’re going through – that could be delayed. Things are still happening and still progressing, just a little bit slower. We’re still in the early stages of some of the remodel and getting it reopened.”
