UPMC Western Maryland recently attained a national accreditation from the American College of Surgeons for Breast Centers and additional recognition as an ACS Surgical Quality Partner. Programs accredited by the NAPBC follow a model for managing a breast center through integrated and comprehensive services. Being an ACS Surgical Quality Partner signifies dedication to consistently improving procedures and approaches which lets patient now they can trust the care they receive adheres to rigorous standards in surgical quality.
