More than 15,000 unemployment claims were filed in Maryland last week. However, the total number was down slightly from the previous week, according to the state department of labor.
15,182 unemployment insurance claims were filed the week ending on May 22. The previous week,15,358 unemployment claims were filed.
245 claims were filed in Allegany County.
