West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrissey says his office has reached a settlement agreement with ResCare Inc. for over $500,000 following an investigation by the state’s Medicaid Fraud Control Unit. ResCare provides home and community based health services throughout West Virginia. The investigation determined that ResCare submitted claims for payment to West Virginia Medicaid that were unsupported by documentation, disallowed, or in excess of the amount supported. ResCare is implementing new record keeping systems that they believe will comply with state requirements.
