The Maryland State Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of a house fire at a vacant property on Williams Street late Thursday morning. Cumberland firefighters responded to the fire in a vacant two-story residence neat the intersection of Williams Street and Maryland Avenue. Initial investigation has revealed that there were two points of origin for the fire. One firefighter was transported to the hospital for heat exhaustion and dehydration.
