WHAT…For the Wind Chill Warning, dangerously cold wind chills. Wind chills as low as 35 below zero. For the Wind Chill Advisory, very cold wind chills expected. Wind chills as low as 20 below zero. Winds gusting as high as 50 to 55 mph.
WHERE…Extreme Western Allegany County.
WHEN…For the Wind Chill Warning, until 1 PM EST this afternoon. For the Wind Chill Advisory, from 1 PM this afternoon to noon EST Sunday.
IMPACTS…The cold wind chills could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes. Strong winds could cause tree and power line damage.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Affects from the extreme cold could be made worse due to power outages. Areas of blowing snow may cause reduced visibility, especially along the ridge tops.
AFFECTED AREAS: EXTREME WESTERN ALLEGANY
