Allegany County Emergency Services has issued a Winter Storm Watch until 10 AM Thursday. Heavy snow, with possible accumulations of 5 to 8 inches in the forecast. Portions of western Maryland and eastern West Virginia are expected to receive the brunt of the snow beginning Wednesday evening. Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning commute.
