The Click-It or Ticket enforcement program is active in West Virginia through August 20th. The Wet Virginia Governor’s Highway Safety Program is urging drivers to buckel up during the statewide effort – part of the state’s continual efforts to increase seat belt usage in West Virginia. Rural drivers may believe their crash exposure is lower, but in 2021, 62% of total vehicle fatalities in West Virginia occurred in rural locations. Law Enforcement will be out in full force ticketing drivers caught driving without a correctly buckled seat belt or transporting unrestrained children.
