Commissioner Race Narrowed For Republicans

Tuesday’s Primary saw a very close contest for Republicans wanting to advance to the General Election for a seat on the Allegany County Commissioners. Although there are still absentee votes yet to count, it appears incumbents Dave Caporale, Bill Atkinson and Creade Broadie Jr. will move on to the General Election in November.   Caporale finished with 3,257 votes, followed by Bill Atkinson with 2,550 votes and Creade Broadie Jr. finished with 2,540 votes.

Dee Dee Ritchie finished in fourth place, just 327 votes behind Brodie Jr.
